Did you know...? A tech demo for the Nintendo DS called the Submarine Tech Demo was distributed at E3 2004 and represented the game that eventually became Steel Diver for the Nintendo 3DS. Some time after the distribution of the Submarine Tech Demo, Steel Diver was in development for the Nintendo DSi, then later the Nintendo DS again before development had moved on to the Nintendo 3DS. Decals were added to Steel Diver because the director Takaya Imamura wanted people to play the same courses over and over again. The Scope Orb decal () in Steel Diver shows the logo of Theta, a game developed by Vitei like Steel Diver and Steel Diver Sub Wars. In Steel Diver Sub Wars, a character resembling Peppy Hare teaches players about the Premium Version. He is shocked that the player wonders who he is, and he comments "Like you haven't seen a talking rabbit before?! Stop fooling around." The Japanese name of the Sub Wars Steel Diver "Neptune" is 「ニンテン」 ("Ninten"), which is presumably short for Nintendo. Add more "Did You Know?"...
